Ah, the perils of the internet: supporting creators across multiple platforms always comes at the risk you won’t get 100% the same rewards unless you sub/pledge/give a firstborn child/whatever on all of their platforms. I understand your pain. Honestly, if you support me anywhere at all, you’re already a stellar individual and I want to make this as easy for you as possible.
First, let me say I don’t expect your financial support on all my platforms. That’d be asking far too much. Don’t go broke, please; I want you around to see whatever happens next.
To that end, I promise to do my best to keep my rewards equivalent, if not the same, across all platforms. If you donate $5 to me on Twitch, I am going to give you the same Discord privileges as I do a $5 pledge on Patreon. If you donate $5 on both, I’ll treat it as if you are giving me $10 everywhere. I’m keeping a spreadsheet of usernames, not because I’m stalking you but because it helps me keep track of things like this. I want to keep everything fair and even across the board.
Now, there are some in-platform things that I can’t control. Patreon supporters, even at the $1 tier, will get access to the blog posts that Twitch subs can’t see. Twitch subscribers will get to use the subscriber emojis while Patrons can’t. I can’t control that; it’s embedded in the platforms.
So, if you really want all the things? Yes, you’d have to pledge/subscribe/do a blood ritual in all the places. But don’t feel like you have to. This is my promise you that I will always be working to keep privileges and rewards for my supporters equivalent across platforms. I’m just honored to have your support in the first place.
